Tiferet is defined as ‘beauty’ in the sense of harmony – the balance between mercy and judgment, often called rachamim – ‘compassion’ – which is, ‘the power to synthesize their two apparently opposing forces, the desire to give and the will to withhold’ (Rabbi Y. Ginsburgh).
The idea of listening to someone that usually makes you impatient may seem like you’re doing them a big favor – but remember, they may be serving you.
If you have issues with patience, G-d may just send such people your way, so that you can learn how to be patient – and ‘tame your ego.’
