Textual Variant: There are several variations in this verse, some of them say “At that time, Yeshua rejoiced in the Holy Spirit”. Others say “In that time he rejoiced in the spirit”, and there are many different combinations of these two. The name “Yeshua” appears in many different locations, which indicates that it was added by the copyists. More difficult to decide is the variant “spirit” vs “Holy Spirit”. Spirit is attested in more manuscripts, but “Holy Spirit” appears as an early reading. By the way “To rejoice in the Holy Spirit” is a rare expression; it does not appear anywhere else in the entire N”T or in Jewish writings, reason by which “spirit” is still the better choice.
